~P~ Wedding 7-21-2012 {Colorado Wedding Photography}

A&T got in touch with me last November about shooting their Steamboat Springs wedding. They were so sweet and T knew exactly what she wanted for her wedding photos. Unfortunately they lived in Illinois, so we were unable to meet before hand. This never bothers me, because we had a very open communication via email and three way calls.

The day of the wedding was quite warm, but fortunately I was used to 106 degrees back home, 86 seemed like Spring! hehe. Everyone was in good spirits and we had a blast with photos. The venues were beautiful. Rolling Ranch Golf course for the ceremony and the Sheridan for the reception. I just love outdoor weddings. I do so much better with natural light!

Beware~ photo overload! I had so much fun with this family and was so pleased they chose me to capture their special day!

~F~ Family Third times the charm! {Nebraska traveling Family Photographer}

When I first met the F family it was the Fall of 2010. We had had a warm fall and A was hoping to get more of a Summer feel to their family photos, well, it cooled down that week. Last Fall we tried again...it snowed.

Ah ha! This year we MADE it happen! I was in town for a wedding and it worked out perfectly to meet up with this lovely family and get some beautiful Summer shots on the mountain.

I forget how BLUE the sky is on Colorado, and we had some dramatic clouds that afternoon!

Little ~E~ is growing so fast! She is such a doll!

Monthly Color Challenge~ July~ Red, White, Blue {Nebraska Photographer}

It's that time again! This month's color challenge was Red, White & Blue. I had ideas, but of course they went right out the window as this month seriously flew by!! So, for the first time I am going to use photos from a recent session and wedding!

This family is so much fun!

I loved that each of the bridesmaids had different shoes, but same color, even the bride!

~F~ Family 2011

Last year I was contacted by the ~F~ family for a session here on the ranch. They were so much fun to work with and little ~E~ was such a little ham! I was so pleased to hear from them again this year. This time I made my way across the pass and headed into Steamboat. Now, I haven't shot a lot over there so locations are a complete mystery to me. I have always noticed this foot bridge down by the river each time I would go over there and wondered what it would be like to shoot there. Well, my wish came true, and another favorite location was born!

It was a tad chilly, but we all "weathered" through, and we got some really nice shots! Little ~E~ has grown up so much in the last year, but was still very photogenic! How could she not with such beautiful parents?

The gazebos were amazing!

Like I have always said, sometimes the candids are the best shots. These were a couple of my favorites, just a family out on a walk.

We lucked out and still had some green grass!

I can't wait to work with this family again. This is why I love what I do, making connections with people through my art. Life is good!
