~Mommy & Me~ {Natural Light Family Photography}

When I showed up one evening to take these photos, the girls were VERY excited! You can tell they are a close family and love to spend time together. It was an honor for me to capture these ladies.

Beautiful young lady!

She was too cute!

Lovely

There was a lot of laughter!

They did make me work for some shots, of course! ;-)

Tiny Fingers Tiny Toes ~Baby K~ {Nebraska Newborn Lifestyle Photographer}

 Oh how I love newborns! I forget that my little monster was that small, they grow entirely too quickly!

I was so excited when A contacted me about doing her daughter's first photos. She was so itty bitty! I was glad to find out that I still have the newborn touch and was able to rock her to sleep (makes me even more excited for my new little bundle to get here!).

I like to do my newborn sessions a bit differently. I take a lot of detail shots and the family interacting with the new addition. Don't get me wrong, I think the photos with the props and cute outfits are adorable, but just not what I like to shoot. I just come and hang out for a couple hours and capture what I capture.

I just love the little details.

Oh baby feet get me every time!

I got a couple smiles out of her ;-)

Oh their soft wispy hair...
I have a feeling she is going to be a Daddy's girl

Now, I am the first to admit I am much more comfortable with families outdoors. The sun and I are friends! :-) So, we met up yesterday to finish up this session and get some more photos of the family together.

What a proud big brother!

As we prepare for our move, it's families like these that make me sad to leave. I hope to capture more moments for them someday. They are too cute!

~K~ Family /Little ~S~ is 6 months! {Nebraska Family Photographer}

I thought we lived far away from town, but our neighbors, live even further down the road. In fact, they are at the end of the road. But, gosh, is it beautiful down there. As I drove in yesterday morning I was scoping the place out. They had already chosen and spot, and really, it is where I was thinking!

It was a bit windy, so little ~S~ needed some coaxing in the smile department, but we made it work! The smiles this family has are priceless and I was honored to capture some that morning!

All smiles for Daddy!

Little pink cowgirl!
Such love

There's that smile!

They all have great smiles

I look forward to watching little ~S~ continue to grow, she is such a doll!!

~F~ Family Session

Sometimes things happen for a reason. I was contacted by ~J~ about doing a family session when I was going to be in Custer State Park, but timing wasn't on our side for that day. We rescheduled for the end of the month. Man, did we luck out!

I was told by a friend about Wilson Park in Chadron, NE and thought I'd give it a shot. It was literally halfway for both myself and the ~F~ family. I really didn't know what to expect when I pulled into the park, and I was floored. Green grass was everywhere, the leaves were budding on the trees, there was a bridge, path, stone steps, you name it, this park had it! It was love at first sight for me!

 This family was so much fun. Their boys (they have five!) were so photogenic, and their daughter was an angel. The photographed beautifully and we had a lot of fun, in spite of the heat!

I hope to work with this family again in the future and be able to watch their little ones grow.

~B~ Family

I love this family! On a personal level they are some of the most caring and loving people I know. The kids were all very well behaved for the session, and we caught some natural laughter (thanks to my sound effects, hehe).

They picked out some really nice spots and I think we picked the perfect time of day to capture some nice light.
The Girls and Boys
~N~ was so animated! She always had something to tell me!
~Beautiful Family~

I thoroughly enjoyed this family and hope to work with them again in the future!!

Another family session booked for next weekend, ah how I love "shooting" season!

P.S.~ Still booking 2012 Weddings~ I am available July, August and early September

~F~ Family 2011

Last year I was contacted by the ~F~ family for a session here on the ranch. They were so much fun to work with and little ~E~ was such a little ham! I was so pleased to hear from them again this year. This time I made my way across the pass and headed into Steamboat. Now, I haven't shot a lot over there so locations are a complete mystery to me. I have always noticed this foot bridge down by the river each time I would go over there and wondered what it would be like to shoot there. Well, my wish came true, and another favorite location was born!

It was a tad chilly, but we all "weathered" through, and we got some really nice shots! Little ~E~ has grown up so much in the last year, but was still very photogenic! How could she not with such beautiful parents?

The gazebos were amazing!

Like I have always said, sometimes the candids are the best shots. These were a couple of my favorites, just a family out on a walk.

We lucked out and still had some green grass!

I can't wait to work with this family again. This is why I love what I do, making connections with people through my art. Life is good!

9-17-11 Little ~E~ Three Months!!

I had the pleasure of taking Little ~E~'s three month photos on September 17th. I met her at her newborn session back in June. She still has a TON of hair!! We went to the flower garden in Fort Collins, and thankfully the flowers were still in bloom :-)

Beautiful hair! I just can't get over it!
Like I always mention, family is key. I love incorporating everyone present in the shoot. Makes for a really fun day!

They are such a fun family! Little ~I~ was all over the place (as she should be, she is almost two!), so it was fun chasing her to get her in the shot, and making things exciting for her as well as Little ~E~.

There is nothing like a Mother and her girls!

Looking forward to working with this family again! They are a hoot and a pure pleasure to work with.
